‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ brings Floating Points, Overmono and more…

Dance music is on its way to Mallorca thanks to Sónar and Mallorca Live with the new ‘Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’ series, bringing together some of the best current international DJs to Calvià’s Old Aquapark over three Saturday afternoons this summer.

Un SónarVillage a S’horabaixa’  takes place on 16th July, 6th August and 3rd September, from 7pm to 3am, in a completely new venue, surrounded by nature and just 20 minutes from Palma de Mallorca.

The first date of the series, next Saturday 16th June, will include, amongst others, two artists who are currently leading the way for UK club music. On the one hand, the Overmono brothers, who’ll play a DJ set heavy on rave nostalgia, combining their own productions with undiscovered pearls. On the other hand is veteran DJ Floating Points, still a leader in the scene with his emphasis on the hottest (and hardest) disco and house tracks.

The lineup also includes daring Chinese-born artist Yu Su, who mixes ambient textures with jazz and other genres not typically found on the dancefloor. Eliza Rose completes the lineup with her mix of electronic music that breaks the mould, taking in hypnotic funk, joyful disco, UK garage and the most sultry grooves of house.

As for each date in the series, the local scene will also be represented. In this case, the party will be started by LOURDES, an Argentinian selector resident in Mallorca.
